The existing construction was done on the orders of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir in 1672. The mosque has been subject to severe damage due to fire. The fire broke out in Jama Masjid thrice, the last incident taking place during the reign of Emperor Aurangzeb.

A day excursion to Sonamarg by surface is one of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar. Sonamarg (Meadows of Gold) is a place of enthralling beauty, lies in Sindh Valley, streamed with flowers, surrounded by mountains, and perched at an altitude of 2690 m above sea level. Visited less frequently by tourists, it has as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a clear sky. It is a quiet alpine retreat surrounded with sycamore, silver birch, fir and pine trees and the last halt on the Kashmir side for the drive from Srinagar to Leh. It is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lakes. In Sonamarg one can take a pony ride (Horse Ride is Optional) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Lunch at local restaurant.  Return to Srinagar. Enroute visit, The Hazratbal Shrine popularly called Dargah Sharif ("the Holy Shrine"), is a Muslim shrine located in Hazratbal locality of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir, India. It contains a relic, Moi-e-Muqqadas, which is widely believed to be the hair of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. It is situated on the northern bank of the Dal Lake in Srinagar and is Kashmir's holiest Muslim shrine. The name of the shrine is a combination of the Arabic word Hazrat (lit. 'respected') and the Kashmiri word Bal (lit. 'place'). Return to Houseboats.

A day excursion to Pahalgam by surface, en-route stopping at Saffron fields, the Nuts Shop to buy Local Nuts & famous Saffron Continue on to Pahalgam, a humble shepherd's village with breath taking views, surrounded with fragrant pine forests and set in a pristine valley lying next to the Lidder River which harbours a sizeable population of rainbow trout and mahseer. Check in at Hotel and enjoy your lunch. 

After lunch, visit Aru valley noted for its scenic meadows. It is popular among the tourists for its natural environment and scenery. Then visit Betaab valley, a gorgeous expanse by the Lidder river, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas.

Today morning after breakfast, pursue independent activities.

Take a bridle walk to feed your cameras with the picture of magnificent view of mountains. You can also enjoy a (optional pony rid)e Then, return to Srinagar. Enjoy your lunch at Vintage (Srinagar). After lunch drive towards your hotel & check in. Evening will be at leisure to relax and pursue independent activities.

After breakfast, drive to airport to take your flight to Delhi. After reaching, enjoy your lunch at local restaurant & later you will depart by surface to Agra - the city of Taj, a sublime expression of historic and architectural marvels. Evening free at leisure.

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal known as the most opulent wonder of the modern world and witness its transformation as the monument reflects the warm glow of sunrise. Explore the 16th century Agra Fort with its battlements, apartments, gardens, and audience halls. This powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. Also visit Mehtab Bagh. The garden was the last of eleven Mughal-built gardens along the Yamuna opposite the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. The garden was built by Emperor Babur (d. 1530). After lunch at hotel, drive to Delhi. Enjoy your dinner at local restaurant & later proceed towards your hotel for check-in

Morning after breakfast, You will embark on a tour of Delhi, where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the gem in the crown of the British Empire. Visit Qutab Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199 from sandstone and marble. Visit, Red Fort, Drive along Rajpath, the capital's broadest avenue, for a view of the Parliament House, the President's House, and India Gate (War Memorial Arch). After lunch at local restaurant, visit Jamia Masjid,  built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1650 and 1656, and inaugurated by its first Imam, Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah Bukhari, situated in the Mughal capital of Shahjahan Abad (today Old Delhi).  Later you will be transferred to the International Airport for your flight back home.
